Introduction: The Power of Presence and Love
When I am fully present with myself—feeling and reflecting on my experiences—I can make the best decisions for my business and my life.
In Blog 13, I explored how to achieve this state of being and remember my identity as a business owner, partner, colleague, friend, and spouse. In this blog, I delve into the transformative power of seeing with love, whether in business or personal life. From this perspective, I feel enlightened and experience extraordinary moments of connection that enrich my life and relationships.
Enlightenment Leads to Connection
Enlightenment through love brings intimacy to my interactions in both professional and personal roles. It allows me to see beyond separation and experience the wholeness of others and myself. This perspective shifts my relationships from surface-level exchanges to meaningful connections that feel electric, as though we are living with one another rather than just in front of each other.
In personal relationships, these connections can feel deeply intimate, while in business, they create trust and understanding that lead to meaningful success for my clients and me. Love enriches my life as our mutual respect and contributions strengthen our bonds. Coaching sessions and organizational work are examples where these connections flourish, creating shared growth and transformation.
Seeing Love in Every Interaction
Love manifests in my work through truthfulness, specificity, and courage. Sometimes, this means addressing difficult topics with clients—such as procrastination or avoidance behaviors—that might initially cause discomfort but ultimately lead to growth. For instance, addressing a client’s procrastination directly or pointing out the negative impacts of their behavior fosters accountability and progress.
My clients recognize that my willingness to share strong feelings and constructive feedback reflects my investment in their success. This approach requires energy, thoughtfulness, and, above all, love for their growth.
Overcoming Resistance with Love
Some clients resist change by using techniques like playing the victim or blaming others for their challenges. Others may ignore feedback altogether. Over the years, I’ve identified 16 common blocking techniques and developed strategies to help clients overcome them.
True love in this work means not rescuing clients from the discomfort of facing their challenges. Shielding them from this pain denies them the opportunity to grow and change. Love requires patience, persistence, and the courage to guide clients through their resistance, even when it’s difficult for both of us.
Conclusion: Living and Leading with Love
Seeing with love transforms relationships, fosters connection, and inspires growth in every area of life. In both personal and professional contexts, this perspective allows us to build richer, more meaningful interactions that benefit everyone involved. By embracing the courage to see others and ourselves with love, we create the foundation for deeper understanding, mutual respect, and lasting impact.
